GPCo and The Community
GPCo involves the local community wherever possible in meteorological measurement campaigns and in working through the wind development process. By involving available landowners and local service providers with the met tower installation, operation and maintenance and other measurement equipment, GPCo promotes local support through direct community participation in developing wind projects.
GPCo works with the community to strengthen your renewable energy project by:
- Use of local construction resources:
- Excavation
- Welding
- Labourers
- Preference to use local raw materials
- Land owner/ Local personnel data retrieval training
- On-site bi-weekly or monthly installation inspections
